Profile
I went to Penn High School before I came here, which is located in Mishawaka, Indiana. When I went to Penn, there were very few diversity clubs or organizations to be a part of, and the ones that were available were not well known. Until about my third week here, I did not know that a school had the opportunities one can find in the Multicultural Success Center, such as a place to get homework done on campus between classes, study tables set up by the different organizations, and a way to get involved.
Why I come to the Multicultural Success Center
I first started coming down here when I found out about the Gay-Straight Alliance on campus. After going down to the office to hang out and get involved, I soon found other organizations, such as the Native American Student Association (NASA) and Asian Students United (ASU). They both accepted me with open arms, and I’ve become part of the Multicultural Success Center family. I’ve recently become co-president of NASA and hope to be able to use my talents to the fullest to help spread awareness and get more active members involved.
